You work kinda reminds me of mixed media cutout collages, mainly cause that's what it is, only digital. =P I like your concept. For me, i see your digiscape as an extension of everything you buy or purchase to satisfy your own wants and desires... as if you digiscape is the landscape of your credit card or something.
Just be sure when animating to make sure you don't have each part of your drawing moving in too chaotic a manner. It may become harder to understand with too many elements moving independently of one another.
